They tell you to just do it. Like it is that simple. It sounds like it is, but is it?
It is. You just have to switch that do/don't button in your head and do it. 'Just' is a very difficult word. Because 'just' implies that it can be done easily. Which isn't always the case. Sometimes, you need a lot of work before you can 'just' do it. But you have to start. If you want to run a marathon. Someone might say, 'why not? Just do it!' That doesn't mean that you can get off your lazy butt and start running. No, you need training. You need to work on every aspect of you to prepare yourself for that race. But you have to do it. You have to start at some point. Work on yourself. Train yourself for what you really want to do. Your life goal is to have your painting on the wall next to Mona Lisa? You will have to learn how to draw first. You'll have to learn how to use your brushes. But you have to start. Just start! Is your goal to lose weight? Mine is. I have to take my lazy butt off the couch and into the gym. And I'll have to eat better, walk more, ... I'll have to train myself: my mind and my body before I'm able to change and lose that weight. Whatever your goal is, short or long time goal, you'll have to start. You'll have to do it. and yes, just do it, applies everywhere. Because if you don't start now, you'll regret it tomorrow and you will still have to do it, tomorrow! Get up, just do it and make a change so you can live towards your goal! confession: As I'm writing this I am trying to come up with a good excuse so I don't have to go into the city right now. I have to pick up a few things but I really don't want to go. I've been avoiding this since Thursday. I believe it's time to take my own advice on this one and just do it. Time for me to eat my lunch, change and leave. I just have to go. Simple as that. I didn't even realize this at first. That's the first step. Realize that you have to do it. If you avoid it now, you'll have to deal with it later. So best just do it now. Share your thoughts/experiences in the comments. Talk to me on social media.
