How are you today? Did you get enough sleep?
I have an idea... it's a new week, a fresh start. Start this Monday with a positive attitude. Look in the mirror and tell yourself 5 things you appreciate about yourself. Ask yourself how you are. Answer honestly. Count your blessings and start your day; start your week. Spend this week treating yourself how you would the person you love the most. Why? Because you need to be the person you love the most. Make the most of every day. Do you have a job to get to today? Enjoy the trip over there. Put on some music and sing along (Maybe not such a good idea if your taking public transportation 😜). Spend some extra time on yourself in the morning. Don't just throw on anything, look for an outfit that makes you feel good. Grab those shoes you like but never really wear to work (or school) because they're 'extra'. Make yourself a good breakfast and instead of drinking your coffee on the go, sit down and enjoy it. Are you staying home today? Great. Take a long shower and treat your body. Take the time to moisturize. Make sure you're envoirment is clean so you won't get annoyed by the mess around you. Grab a book if you like to read. Spend some time on yourself. Every thing you do doesn't have to be an chore. Doing your grocery shopping can even be made easier if you make a list before you leave the house so you can shop without the stress of maybe forgetting something. I mean come on, even brushing your teeth can be "fun". You just have to flip that switch and WANT to have fun while doing the things you have to do. I spend this weekend cleaning the house. Something I HAVE to do. I don't have a choise. It has to happen whether I want to do it or not. I put a playlist that always makes me happy. Imma daughter wanted to help so I gave her the task to bring all of her toys and things from the living room and bring them to her room. I told her to put the toys in the blue box and all the rest could go on her bed. She was done in no time. In the mean time I spend my time on folding the laundry. When she was done she could listen to the soundtrack cd of Frozen so that's probably why she finished her chore so quickly. 😜 Giving her something to do helped me because she wasn't trying to help me fold = she wasn't jumping on the bed. She helped me vacume and before we knew it everything but the kitchen and bathroom were done. If I would've done it by myself it would've been a lot more stressful because I had to tell a three year old to get out of the way every 2 minutes. But now the house is clean... my mother is coming over tomorrow morning and I can just wake up and spend time on me and my baby before we have to leave. I won't have to stress about all the things I'll have to do before she arrives. - preparation is everything. Procrastinating is not (it is something that I'm very, very good at). I'm ready to start the week. I'm calm and I am making the most of everything I do because... why not? To answer my questions: I'm alright, a little tired because I didn't get enough sleep, (I found a new show on Netflix that is very hard to turn off) but I'm positive and I feel good. Let's do this!
